Our wonderful Rev was a man who understood that it is often the small things in life that mean the most. Joining a new school as a pupil, and as a parent, can be a daunting prospect. Especially if you dont know anyone else already at the school or about to join the school.

I vividly recall the day my son received a card from The Rev, welcoming him to Shiplake and reassuring him of the support and the opportunity awaiting him. It was the most thoughtful, meaningful and personal of gestures. It tells you everything you need to know about The Rev and his deep understanding of the human need to feel seen as an individual, to feel cared for and connected to a wider community.

Rest in peace dear Rev. You will always be in our hearts. We send all our love and support to your family, now and always, as they come yo terms with your absence.
