Dear Rev,


I hardly know how to begin to say goodbye.

You were such a bright light in everybody's lives, especially mine. You made my two years at Shiplake so wonderful. Your kindness was contagious and made me feel so welcomed and like I belonged.

I will always cherish all the memories I was lucky enough to create with you - all the weekend trips you organised for the boarders, that time we went to Reading Drop-in centre and cooked breakfast for the homeless people, Ascension Day at Maidensgrove back in 2021... That other time you brought a chair and sat at the bottom of the stairs at the medical wing apartment to chat to me because I was in a 2-week isolation and you wanted to make sure I wasn't lonely. The time you appointed me the first Prefect Link Warden. All the chapel warden 'munchies'. All the encouraging and thoughtful emails you sent, the catch ups during the lockdowns. Thank you for all the times you were just there, smiling, supporting me in all the adventures I wanted to embark on.

You were a star and an incredible role model for me.
I will always remember you and miss you dearly.
